definition of the term genre

 Genre is a type of species, or class of music , style. A literary genre is a recognizable and established category of written work employing such common conventions as will prevent readers or audiences from mistaking it for another kind. film genres are recognized as action, horror ,, sci-fi(science fiction) , adventure drama, romance and comdey. often some genres are pushed in to one to make a film. like ; 'rom-com' , action adventure, ect.

 the means of communication, as radio and television, newspapers, and magazines, that reach or influence people widely.
media is also a tools used to store and deliver information or data.

codes and conventions

codes and conventions media are separated in sections.

Technical; which is camera  techniques and camera shots. in horror movies there are usaully long shots and camera shots that focus on an object that as a role to play with in the movie, such as  a weapon or a tool used to kill or help which is whether covered in blood if it is a murder weapon.

Symbolic; which is the outfitting of clothes And the colours they are presented in. the symbols that would be shown in a action-adventure film are obviously a hero or an anti-hero, expolostions, and something dramatic happening , and fighting, either hand to hand or gun fights.

and written and audio ; like the music. written such as the way the script is written and the music is the kind of music you expect within a movie
